People we met, stories we heard.
The centerpiece of our work is our yearly Printmagazine. Each issue is lovingly crafted by us and our graphic design bureau seite zwei, ensuring that each and every story get's its own individual graphic design and visual vocabulary. Our newest Issue, C/O Vienna #5: The Provinz Issue was released in September 2022 and can be ordered through our Shop.
C/O Vienna #5 – The Provinz Issue
„Where there's a will, there's a way (out)!“
An issue about roots. The uniquely german word „Provinz“ is difficult to translate in meaning, as it transcends mere „province“, but also encompasses all aspects of rural life. „Provinz“ is the place you long to escape from, the one you miss once you’re gone. Where geniuses are born, before they get discovered in the city. We tried to approach the topic in 220 pages, while avoiding all clichés and uncovering unknown aspects of it.
With 8 postcard cover variations by Piero Percoco, base cover by Vrinda Jelinek.
Interviews & Stories with Soap&Skin, Mom & Dad, Arnold Schwarzenegger('s wax figure), Google & Maps, Eva & Adolf, Dirndl & Braid, Style & Binge Drinking, Andreas Kronthaler & Vivienne Westwood, the Milky Way & Rounabouts, Paul McCarthy & Lilith Stangenberg, Volunteers & the Fire Department, Stefanie Reinsperger & Fury.
Poster-Issue: The Food Issue
„Food for Thought – and we hope your mind is hungry!“
This exclusive poster issue was developed once again with the young, rising talents of the masterclass at Graphische Wien. We tried to delve into the topic of food in a rather unorthodox way, from all sides and angles – sometimes literally (see „The Shit Manifesto“). Fittingly packed into lunch wrap for your culinary pleasure!
Featuring Austrian etiquette guru Thomas Schäfer-Elmayer, a potato, a pathologist from an abandoned insane asylum, a Mukbang scientist, a female bodybuilder, and many more!
German, 10 posters
C/O Vienna #4: The Wasted Issue
„Get wasted with us!“
An opulent booklet with over 244 pages in German and English. About our ambivalent relationship with nature and about the love of life! With fantastic interviews, artwork and exclusive photo spreads.
With Lars Eidinger, Ecosex, Jannine Schiller, Maša Stanic, Roman Signer, Christian Anwander, Lois Hechenblaikner, Deal With It - Drogenkonsum 2.0, Guenter Part, Marianne Kohn, Die Schönheit der Verschwendung, Bela Borsodi, Anziehung und Ekel, The Turtle Man, Rafaela Pröll, The Poetry Of Plants, Maria Happel and many more.
C/O Vienna #3: The Consumer Issue
„We, the Consumed.“
How will we consume, love and die in the future? We teamed up with the best up-and-coming talent Austrian graphic design has to offer, the masterclass at Graphische Wien to produce the student magazine of the year! Get ready for 140 Pages of "CONSUMER“: featuring Interviews with strange cyborgs, styrian worm farmers, virtual porn stars and many more.
C/O Vienna #2: The Beauty Issue
„Smells like chewing gum“
Full of interviews, reports, stories, photo and art works by internationally known and upcoming artists and authors. From which ingredients does beauty develop? Where do we find beautiful things in the world? What is beautiful? Who determines what is beautiful and what is ugly? We’ll try to answer these questions by talking to people who might have found the answer.
German & English, 306 Pages.
With Bela Borsodi, Jakob Lena Knebl, Gelatin, einem Pferdenarr, Sarah Steiner, Chris Hadfield, Immo Klink, einem limitierten Pop-Up von Peter Kogler and many more!
C/O Vienna #1: The Private Issue
„Every breath you take. Every move you make.“
The first Print Issue of C/O Vienna Magazine is filled with interviews, reports, stories, photo and art works by internationally known and upcoming artists and authors. Where does privacy begin and where does it end? Is there even a protected private sphere, or have we already mutated into transparent people? We’ll try to answer these questions by talking to people who might have found the answer.
German & English, 367 Pages.
With Guenther Parth, Jörk Weismann, Klaus Pichler, falschen Esoterikern, richtigen Herzchirurgen, tiefer Kümmernis and many more!
