One of the best sausage-stands in Europe
This is where fur coats and jeans jackets meet, Fiaker Coach-Drivers and Museum Directors, business and art meet eye to eye. Apart from the usual wurst-stand menu offering from Käsekrainer to Waldviertler guests are also served champagne and fine wines.
In 2008 the architects Schuberth und Schuberth designed the legendary wurst stand between the opera house and the Albertina for the gastronomy family Bitzinger. It was nominated as one of Austria’s best wurst stands by THE gourmet magazine Falstaff and even received the Austrian State Prize for Design.
