20.3.-20.4.: ©FOTO WIEN FESTIVAL

Vienna goes photo!

A new, exciting format in Vienna! For four weeks the extensive photo festival is dedicated to national and international photographers with numerous programme items and a total of over 130 programme partners. In addition to numerous exhibitions, tours, studio visits, talks, workshops and much more are offered. The festival headquarters are the Otto Wagner Postsparkasse and the Kunst Haus Wien.

The programme ranges from the examination of historical photography, analogue and digital photographic technology, to architecture or film in photography.

There will be tours, studio visits and daily picture reviews at the festival headquarters (Österreichische Postsparkasse, Georg-Coch-Platz 2, 1010 Vienna) or at the 130 programme partners such as museums, exhibition houses, galleries, archives, photography institutions, art universities, artists' initiatives and off-spaces.

"With the new festival FOTO WIEN we would like to put artistic photography in Vienna at the centre of attention. Together with our programme partners, we will show the diversity and productivity of the local scene as well as international positions and invite a broad audience to get enthusiastic about the medium". (Bettina Leidl, Director of FOTO WIEN)
